Comedian Kagiso “Pope” Ramoshai Dies in a Car Accident
South African comedian and content creator Kagiso Ramoshai has died.
Kagiso Ramoshai, popularly known as the “Pope”, passed away on Sunday morning, 14 April. He was 28-years-old.
Family Confirms the Untimely Passing of Kagiso “Pope” Ramoshai
Kagiso Ramoshai died in a horror car accident. The accident reportedly occurred on R71 while he was heading home from a famous pub at around 02:00 am.
His family has since confirmed his tragic death in a statement.
“It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Kagiso “Pope” Ramoshai. In this time of grief, we appeal for your compassion, space, and time to congregate as a family, “Tshepo Ramoshai said.
Speaking to the Daily Sun after after his death, Kagiso Ramoshai family spokesman, Ephraim Maponya said that they were devasted by Kagiso’s sudden death.
“We’re saddened and hurt by his death. I’m lost for words. We were shocked when we heard about his car accident. We didn’t want to see this as a family,” he said.
