“Hypocrites”: South Africans Call Out Justice System as Sizok’thola Presenter Xolani Khumalo Faces New Charges

South Africans have voiced their concerns over what they perceive as an unjust legal process as Sizok’thola TV presenter Xolani Khumalo finds himself in deeper legal waters.

Xolani Khumalo, who was recently charged with the murder of a suspected drug dealer, Robert Varrie, is now facing the possibility of additional charges. The news charges stem from accusations made by the family of the deceased drug dealer who died during the filming of an episode of his show.

Xolani Khumalo Faces New Charges

According to News24, the family of the late drug dealer, Robert Varrie, held a press conference in Reiger Park, Boksburg, Ekurhuleni on Friday.  The family disclosed that they had enlisted the services of a private investigator named AB. AB, acting on behalf of the family, is pressing for Xolani Khumalo to face additional charges beyond the murder charge.

The family alleges that Khumalo committed theft and maliciously damaged property during the incident that led to Robert Varrie’s death.

Family Claims Theft and Missing Cash

In addition to accusations of malicious damage, the family has also claimed that Xolani Khumalo stole valuable items during the incident. These items include mobile phones, a wristwatch, and substantial cash totalling R3,000. These allegations have intensified the call for further legal action against Khumalo.
