During an interview with Podcast and Chill with MacG, Dr. Nandipha shared a comprehensive account of her academic journey, revealing the intricate process that leads to earning the title of Medical Doctor.
Indeed, a degree is not enough to be called a doctor, and Dr Nandipha goes all the way with her education until she gets the title.
Speaking to MacG, Dr Nandipha also spoke of her first salary and it shocked many people as she said:
“If l remember correctly, l would say that at that time it was about R30K”

Dr. Nandipha Magudumana’s academic journey began with her first degree, a BHSc in Biomedical Sciences, which she earned from the University of the Witwatersrand.
Building upon this foundation, she then pursued a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) degree from the same university.
By successfully completing her MBBCh, she not only obtained a medical degree but also added a second undergraduate degree to her accomplishments.
After the resurfacing of the video, there was a significant amount of frustration expressed by many South Africans who believed that Dr. Nandipha had tarnished her career.
They voiced their disappointment and questioned the potential impact on her professional trajectory.
Furthermore, some individuals even speculated on the salary she received as her first job, suggesting that it might have been excessive considering the perceived underutilization of her qualifications.
