South African Musician The Kiffness Robbed Twice in Detroit, US
South African musician The Kiffness had to disappoint his fans in Detroit, United States after he cancelled his show after he was robbed.
The Kiffness, real name David Scott, is currently on tour in North America. He fell victim to thieves who broke into his tour van, resulting in a loss of equipment valued at nearly R100,000.

Cancellation and Apology to Fans
The Kiffness is known for his creative mashups of viral videos and satirical commentary. Scott boasts a massive online following, with over 2 million subscribers on YouTube. His global appeal stems from musical collaborations with viral sensations worldwide.
After the break-in, Scott was forced to cancel his scheduled Detroit show. He took to social media, expressing his regret to fans.
“I’m very sorry to inform my fans in Detroit that tonight’s show’s been cancelled due to gear being stolen out of our van. Between getting a new van, new equipment, police reports, we just don’t have enough time to get the show ready. Refunds available at point of purchase 🙏🏼❤️,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The Kiffness Shares Second Robbery Attempt After Being Robbed
He also revealed that while their merch guy was attempting to clear the car of valuables after the initial break-in, an unknown man approached and stole the keys to the vehicle and then jumped in through the broken window in an attempt to steal more of Scott’s belongings. Police were called and arrested the suspect.
“Our merch guy was getting what was left out of the car and someone tried to take the keys from him, but he ran away and called the police. Luckily they detained him while he was looting the car. Our poor merch guy is in shock. @JoeBiden what’s going on?,” posted Scott on his X account.
