Presley Chweneyagae, one of Mzansi’s legendary actors is planning to retire in the coming four years (2025).

The 36 year old actor who has been in the industry for the most part of his life (30 years) is looking to retire from The River and from all entertainment industry involvement.

He wants to start something new.

“I’ll quit acting when I turn 40, and I won’t be in involved in the entertainment industry as I’ll focus on a different work and environment,” he said.

Presley is well known for his lead role on the film Tsotsi.

The film won him an Outstanding Actor award at the Black Movie Awards in Los Angeles, US, back in 2006.

Presley is currently playing the role of Cobra on The River.

The ambassador of South African Youth Movement was arrested late last year after allegedly beating up his wife.

Chweneyagae said he and his wife had an argument about his car after she refused to give him the car keys as he had to attend to a work commitment. He made it clear that he is not a violent man and that it was the first incident to happen between the couple.

Unlike many of the public faces who get cancelled after such incidents, Presley’s case didn’t make headlines but died down after the couple reconciliated.
