Tragic Loss: Amapiano Star DJ Mbali Umshove Dies
In a tragic turn of events, the South African music industry and fans of Amapiano are mourning the untimely death of DJ Mbali Umshove, whose real name was Amahle Mash Nduli.
The 27-year-old Amapiano producer and DJ, known for hits like “Konka” and “The First Bang,” passed away, leaving her family and the nation in shock.
The devastating news of DJ Mbali Umshove’s death was announced on Tuesday, 25th July.
Speaking to The Daily Sun, Dj Mbali Umshove’s mother Kholeka Mevana expressed the deep sorrow that has engulfed their family. She revealed that the cause of her daughter’s death is yet to be determined, pending the autopsy results.
According to her mother, DJ Mbali Umshove experienced a sudden unresting feeling in her last moments and had shared her discomfort with those around her.
“That’s how we lost her. I’m feeling very terrible, broken, and sad right now,” Kholeka Mevana said, struggling to cope with the tragic loss.
Despite her young age, DJ Mbali Umshove had already made a significant impact on the Amapiano scene and was known for her vibrant and energetic performances. Her mother fondly remembered her as a person who loved her family and friends and was the “life of the party.”
Describing her daughter, Kholeka Mevana said,
“She was a fun-loving, high-spirited individual who embraced the experiences of life. A young, ambitious talent who knew exactly what she wanted.”
DJ Mbali Umshove’s passion for music was evident in her dedicated pursuit of her career. Her determination and talent led her to collaborate with other notable artists in the industry, and she had been working on a promising project with her producers, Audio Addicts, before her untimely passing.
Zenande, DJ Mbali Umshove’s sister, revealed that the late DJ had big plans for her music, aspiring to feature renowned artists such as DBN Gogo, Uncle Waffles, DJ Cndo, and Kwazi M in her upcoming work.
As her family mourns her death, details of her funeral arrangements will be shared through her social media platforms, allowing her fans to pay their last respects to the Amapiano sensation.
