Trevor Noah Wins Big At 2023 Webby Awards Show
Trevor Noah, comedian and former host of “The Daily Show,” has been named the internet’s favorite “Personality/Host” by winning the prestigious Webby Award. He received this honor for his “Between the Scenes” segment on “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.” It is his second time winning in this category, with the first win occurring in 2020.
In addition to Noah’s individual award, “The Daily Show” also took home six other awards at the ceremony. One notable award was for the comedy segment titled “America’s Door Problem,” in which Noah advocated for gun control and criticized policymakers’ response to mass shootings.

This year’s awards ceremony took place in person on May 15 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. Roy Wood Jr., a correspondent for “The Daily Show,” hosted the event for the second time. The winners’ list included singers Rihanna, Lizzo, and Doja Cat, former President Barack Obama, and the cast of Marvel’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”

Trevor Noah expressed his surprise and gratitude for the wins through his Instagram Stories, commenting, “Wow! Such an honor. Thank you!”
These awards come eight months after Noah wrapped up his tenure as the host of “The Daily Show” to focus on touring and performing comedy. The recognition further solidifies Noah’s status as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
