Tsepo Desando Features On Mzansi Magic’s ‘Unmarried’
The popular series Unmarried is back with its second instalment and Tsepo Desando is part of the star-studded cast as Bright, a smooth-talking celebrity gospel artist who falls head over heels with Thembi, played by Thembisa Nxumalo.
Not only is Tsepo a talented actor but he also wears other hats within the creative space as Director, Writer, and Producer. Tsepo was part of BET’s Maseko Ties as an actor, writer, and director for S2 & S3, he was part of Mnet’s Still Breathing writing room, he was a writer on Grit S1, a series created by KMP production, and a writer on the award-winning series Lockdown and for that, he was part of a team nominated for SAFTAs as Best writers in a television series.
“I am very excited to be part of wonderfully written series. As actors, our goal is to be part of a project that will leave viewers wanting more and Ferguson Films has done just that with Unmarried,” says Tsepo.
Tsepo is also known for his stint in soapies such as Muvhango, Scandal, and The Wild, respectively.
With many years of acting experience, Tsepo has mastered the art of playing different characters so when he landed the role as Bright it just became natural to excel in it.
“Getting into character and successfully making it real requires skill. In most cases, actors get roles that are far from what they are in real life so when you are on set you have to shed your real-life persona and mold yourself into the person that the character leads you to be and make it as natural as possible. This requires more than just experience but also talent, passion, and working with talented colleagues who also help bring out the best in you.
I have enjoyed Bright as a character and luckily we do have some similarities, I love love and I can also sing,” Tsepo concludes with a chuckle.
