Having previously been a mother to three children from different relationships, Gogo Maweni expressed that she initially thought she was done making babies. However, Sabelo’s desire for more children led to serious discussions, ultimately resulting in their decision to expand their family.

Gogo Maweni said:

“This was a serious conversation in our household because you are talking to somebody who has children already… We sat down, and he was like, ‘I really want kids – I really love you, and I want children with you. Soon we gonna add two more to the list. We are having twins! This was supposed to be a secret until the bump came out.

“We work so hard, and the reason we work so hard is to be able to afford certain things. There’s IVF. You go and they take out your egg for the first month, then they take out your egg the second month, then they put it back. I went to a gynaecologist and asked to be referred for IVF, and we’re here now.”

About IVF:

According to NHS:

“In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is one of several techniques available to help people with fertility problems have a baby. During IVF, an egg is removed from the woman’s ovaries and fertilised with sperm in a laboratory. The fertilised egg, called an embryo, is then returned to the woman’s womb to grow and develop.”
