Uncle Vinny Files Defamation Lawsuit Against Podcaster Sfiso Ndlovu
Amapiano sensation and dancer Uncle Vinny has taken legal action against podcaster and record label owner Sfiso Ndlovu, accusing him of defamation following controversial comments made on the popular show Piano Pulse.
Ndlovu, who owns Lea Records, claimed during an episode on the Podcast and Chill network that Uncle Vinny consumes codeine, implying that it would eventually lead to his death. The alarming statement immediately sparked outrage, prompting Uncle Vinny to respond swiftly.

Uncle Vinny Demands R500K and Public Apology
Not one to stay silent, Uncle Vinny filed a lawsuit demanding R500,000 in damages, along with a retraction and a public apology. The legal papers, which he later shared on Instagram, detailed the accusations, with his legal team stating:
On September 25 2024, you made false, malicious and defamatory comments and allegations about our client on Podcast and Chill Network. One of the false and defamatory statements was: ‘Codeine is going to kill Vinny.

Ndlovu Issues Public Apology After Legal Threat
Shortly after receiving the legal notice, Sfiso Ndlovu issued an apology, acknowledging his mistake. In a letter shared by Uncle Vinny on Instagram, Ndlovu expressed regret for his words, admitting that his remarks were reckless and made without verifying the facts.
I fully retract my statement and I apologise for the harm these remarks might have caused to Uncle Vinny’s reputation, brand and personal integrity. It was really not my intention to slander, humiliate, or cause distress to Vinny, and I deeply regret the impact that my words have had.
In the same apology letter, Ndlovu raised concerns about Uncle Vinny sharing his personal information online, calling it unnecessary. He demanded that Vinny remove the posts, stressing that it crossed a line in their dispute.
