In the now-deleted post, she said:

“I am now ending my life for good. RIP to myself. Please don’t call me no one will answer.”

Her fans streamed to her comments, pleading with her not to take her own life. Others alleged that Makhadzi could have been pulling a publicity stunt, as she always does.

The cry for help startled her fans online, as her previous social media posts showed she was jovial. In one of the posts, she looked elegant, dressed in black, posing behind a Range Rover Sport. In a different social media update, she consulted her fans on a show she plans to host on 22 December 2023.

Makhadzi’s manager, Lucky Tshilimandila, spoke to ZiMoja and said the Movie hitmaker is recuperating and has been down from exhaustion:

“She has been busy all year long, and it’s a matter of fatigue and just needing rest. Right now, she is getting some rest. She is in contact with a medical specialist and is taking things easy.

“She is a hardworking perfectionist who doesn’t like to disappoint her fans. But she is okay, taking a day or two off and just resting and putting her mental wellness first. We thank everyone for their concerns and the messages. She appreciates the support. She is well-rested and practising some self-care.”
