Anthony Anderson Hospitalised after On-Set Accident in Cape Town

The incident occurred during the filming of the upcoming movie “G20,” in which Anderson is a part of the cast. Being the upbeat and humorous person that he is, Anderson took to Instagram to share his experience with his fans. He posted a photo of himself lying on a stretcher, giving a smile and flashing the peace sign.

In his Instagram post, Anderson jokingly mentioned that he spent the night in the emergency room due to a movie set fight gone wrong. It seems he found himself in a tussle with two goons and a chair, and the outcome wasn’t in his favour. He humorously commented that he should probably consider hiring a stuntman, as he’s not as young as he used to be.

“I spent the night in the emergency room. Movie set fight gone wrong. Me against two goons and a chair! Guess who didn’t win! Who needs a stuntman? Me that’s who! I’m not as young as I used to be!,” Anderson wrote.

A Light-hearted Take on the Incident

Fortunately, despite the ordeal, Anderson did not suffer any broken bones. The results of his CT scan and X-rays showed no fractures or breaks. However, he did sustain a deep contusion on his back. He playfully remarked that while he would recover, the chair involved in the accident would never be the same again.

“CT scan and X-rays showed nothing fractured or broken in my back just a deep contusion. That chair will never be the same though! Bloodied and bowed but never broken!,” Anthony Anderson concluded.

Fans of Anthony Anderson, as well as his “Black-ish,” co-star and onscreen wife Tracee Ellis-Ross, expressed their well wishes in the comments section of his Instagram post.
