Vice President Paul Mashatile’s Ex-Girlfriend Claims She Was Bribed To Remain Silent About GBV

Deputy President Paul Mashatile’s ex-girlfriend, Gugu Nkosi, has opened a gender-based violence case against Mashatile’s spokesperson, Keith Khoza. Nkosi alleged that Khoza assaulted her and damaged her Porsche Cayenne at Mashatile’s home in November 2022. According to Sunday World, Mashatile paid Nkosi R210 000 for her silence, as well as a new phone and a different car.

Incident at Paul Mashatile’s House

Nkosi made a statement to the Sandton police station about the incident that took place at Mashatile’s home, where Khoza allegedly slapped her several times. In the statement, she claimed that Khoza also drove her car and returned with damaged car keys. Nkosi also claimed that she contacted a journalist, a minister, and the police to intervene, but Khoza was not arrested.

Nkosi’s Version of the Story

Nkosi reportedly revealed that she has been in a relationship with Mashatile since 2014 while he was still married to his late wife. On the day of the incident, she went to Mashatile’s home unannounced but was turned away by security. After seeing Mashatile’s current wife, Humile Mjongile, she insisted on driving in. According to Nkosi, this is when Khoza allegedly assaulted her.

Khoza Denies Allegations

Khoza denied Nkosi’s claims that Humile or Mashatile were present that day. He claimed that Nkosi is being used to defame Mashatile’s character and tarnish his reputation. Khoza also denied the assault allegations and said that there are cameras at the house and about 20 witnesses.

Mashatile’s Jilted Lovers in Cahoots

Earlier this month, Mashatile’s other alleged ex-lover, Norma Mbatha, was served with an interim protection order to stop harassing and stalking Mashatile and Khoza. In a 53-minute audio recording, Mbatha and Nkosi discussed how they wanted to ensure that Mashatile does not become president because he betrayed them.
