AKA grave

WATCH | Outrage As Foreign National Records Video Of AKA’s Empty Grave

A foreign national has faced criticism on social media after a video of him filming the empty grave of the late South African rapper AKA went viral.

AKA was interred at Heroes Acre in Westpark Cemetery in Johannesburg on Saturday.

A few days following his burial, a video clip of the late rapper’s empty grave emerged on social media. It is alleged that it was recorded by a Malawian.

The video was originally posted on Tik Tok and subsequently circulated across other social media platforms.

The video shows a man who was one of the gravediggers recording AKA’s grave and highlighting that it is the site where the deceased rapper would be interred.

Watch the video below.

The video sparked controversy, with many social media users arguing that the person who recorded it shows a lack of respect.

They also added that the man had no right to record AKA’s empty grave and share it on social media without the permission of his family.

Other social media users have already started calling for him to be fired and immediately deported from South Africa.

Check out some of the reactions;

@SothoDudu;

This is a huge disrespect to AKA who believed in putting South Africans first. Why was this job given to a foreigner in the first place when we have very capable grave diggers who are SAn?

@Phithiza1;

These foreigners disrespect South Africans every time they get a chance.

@Tebogo;

This guy must be arrested he had no right to do this

@Island Tribe;

This foreigner must be found and deported immediately.

@thokzicbase

This is so unprofessional. You’d think this Broodie funeral parlor has a code of conduct for their employees.

It just doesn’t make sense why a country with such high unemployment is hiring a foreigner for this kind of a job. Sies!
