Marawa launched his book Gqimm Shelele on Sunday night in a high-profile event. The book tells the story of Robert’s journey from his early days as a child in his hometown of Nkandla in KZN to the sports legend he has become.
Robert said the health inspired the book scares he has suffered and his sister Nomvula who told him to document his life.
Robert said his book is a memoir and a journey.
In case you don’t know, Madluphithu suffered two heart attacks and ended up in intensive care.
Robert says the scary thing about his sickness is that no one 8n his family has suffered from Cardiovascular disease.

He says the book is supposed to inspire young kids from all backgrounds in the country to believe that it is possible to make their dreams come true.
The event was attended by moguls like football legend Doctor Khumalo, and radio veterans like Wilson Nkosi and Felicia Mabuza Suttle also appeared on his timeline to congratulate Robert.
Ex-girlfriend Pearl Thusi also was surprisingly in attendance. The two had a very public relationship and a bad break-up that played out in the media for all to see.
Robert was in the news on Sunday after City Press published a story about the bank coming after his Mercedes after he failed to pay residuals on the car.
The story shocked Mzansi and many called out the publication their suspected timing.
Many felt that the story on the paper looked like it was trying to overshadow Marawa’s book launch.

Marawa says the book is easy to read and intended for anyone who has always listened and supported.
Robert shot to fame in the early nineties as a continuity presenter on SABC1, and South Africa fell in love with him.
He transitioned into sports presenting after that and never looked back.
The book also talks about the many firing incidents that have taken place in his career and the times he was down, and how he rose above all those challenges.
