The funeral was a tough one for all of his friends and his fans. Oupa “DJ Sumbody” Sefako was gunned down in the early hours of Sunday morning of the 18th of November.
He worked with high profiled musicians in his short career and created an empire owning clubs and dropping hit after hit.
One of the hits that had his name written in the stars is Monate Mpolaye that he worked with Cassper Nyovest on.
Cassper Nyovest performed the song on the global stage in 2018 at the Global Citizen concert held in South Africa that year,Cassper brought the house down.
On Saturday, he performed that song to say goodbye to the producer and his friend DJ Sumbody.
Musical legend Thebe was also there and joined Cassper to perform the song in front of DJ Sumbody’s casket and his family.
The funeral took place at his home at Ga Masemola in Limpopo.
EFF leader Julius Malema was a speaker and he gave the young man his flowers saying he succeeded fast.
Malema let his family know that their son only wanted to upgrade his family name and now his funeral has been attended by dignitaries and Kings.
Cassper brought Thebe to perform Monate Mpolaye and brought some fun to an otherwise devastating event.
DJ Sumbody owned one of the most successful clubs called Ayepyep which he turned into a franchise which he recently took to Cape Town.
He was shot while driving to a gig in Johannesburg while with his bodyguard Sbudda. His body guard also passed away in the incident.
Julius Malema called out Bheki Cele and the SAPS saying they haven’t done enough to try and find Sumbody’s killers.
