When the Blue Lights Go Bad: Outcry Erupts as Men Battered by VIP Police Hit the Ground In Road Rage
South Africans are outraged over a trending video of blue lights VIP police assaulting a motorist until he fell unconscious.

In a video trending on Twitter, a mob of VIP police officers stopped a VW Polo while brandishing and hoisting rifles. They then violently drag two men in the vehicle outside across the tarred road to the edge.
The police’s luxury cars stop next to the VW, leaving no room to wiggle or escape. The moment they take the two out of the road, the suited and muscular men kick and stomp them as they lie helplessly unprotected.
Another lady sitting at the back of the small car stepped out to see what was going on, and the moment she saw the officers trampling on the hapless men, she held her mouth and stepped back into the car, shell-shocked.
One of the VW men succumbs to the heavy stomping by the blue light VIP police officers, and he collapses while one just holds his hand amid the barrage of violent kicks.
The police officers then leave the two and retreat to their vehicles before driving off, guns in hand.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) released a statement, alerting the public that they are now tracing the victims of the violent outburst by its VIP officers.
“After being made aware of the incident captured on a video clip that is currently doing the rounds on various media platforms, the SAPS management has begun the process to trace the victims to obtain statements from them while an internal departmental investigation is underway.”

Mzansi tweeps were enraged by the VIP police officers who assaulted the two men.
