Former Yizo Yizo star and anti-drug advocate Innocent Masuku has reportedly fallen back into a cycle of drug abuse, as revealed by a recent resurfaced video showing him intoxicated and high.

In the video, Masuku looked frail and under the influence as he chatted in a beat-down house. He was tightly gripping an alcohol can in his hand.
Close sources indicate that Masuku’s friends and family have exhausted their efforts to support him. Despite numerous attempts to assist, Masuku’s behaviour remains unchanged.
One source disclosed to Zimoja:
“Trust me, we have all tried to help him, but it doesn’t seem like there is hope. He will shout when he needs help.”
Another source told the publication that sometimes he vanishes and leaves people worried. The source added that efforts to revive his acting career also faltered:
“A TV producer tried to help him to get gigs but he would not show up for auditions and screen testing. Most industry people have given up on him as talented as he is.”

Relapse After A Hopeful And Spirited Fight
Masuku spoke about his struggles with addiction during the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Youth Month campaign in 2022. Despite expressing a desire for recovery at the time, Masuku’s recent behaviour contradicts his previous claims of progress.
In a candid TV interview on I Blew It, Masuku shared the extent of his financial losses due to drug addiction, including the forfeiture of a R1.9 million property in Krugersdorp. During his peak earning years from acting and side gigs, Masuku was raking in substantial amounts. Still, his reckless spending on drugs, alcohol, women, and luxury items led to his financial downfall.
Despite seeking rehabilitation in the past, Masuku’s demons seem to have resurfaced, leaving him unreachable for comment on his current situation.
