The source recounted how Zahara’s fiance Xaba recently sent a lobola delegation to ask for her hand in marriage from the Mkutukana household. Soon after the lobola was settled, Zahara was hurried to a private hospital up in northern Jozi. Initially placed in a medical ward, her condition worsened after two weeks, prompting a transfer to the ICU.
Oddly, just before all this, Zahara appeared healthy and strong during her 36th birthday celebration on November 9 and no signs of illness were evident.
The source suspects foul play, suggesting that jealousy might have motivated someone to bewitch Zahara to prevent her from living happily ever after as Mrs Xaba.
“The lobola negotiations went well during the visit by the Xaba delegation. The family representing the Mkutukanas was happy that Zahara would finally get married to someone she loves dearly. But someone interfered with the whole process by bewitching her,” the source said.

Furthermore, it’s speculated that someone became upset upon learning that the Xaba family intended to return to settle the remaining lobola amount. The concerned source relayed suspicions of poisoning or the addition of muthi to Zahara’s drink by a disgruntled relative who didn’t want her to marry Xaba.
“A relative must have gotten pissed off when they heard that the Xaba family were coming back to pay the outstanding amount of lobola. We suspect that Zahara was either poisoned or muthi was put into her drink ,” the concerned source said a relative of Zahara told her.
