Zimbabwean Prophet Who Predicted AKA’s Passing Shares Details: Forbes Family Contacted Him After Rapper’s Demise
Zimbabwean spiritual figure, Prophet Mellintic Orasi, has disclosed that following the death of rapper AKA in February, his family got in touch with him.
AKA, whose real name was Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, was fatally shot on February 10, 2023, while leaving a now-closed restaurant in Durban.
Scheduled to perform in the city, AKA was ambushed by two unidentified attackers who approached from behind, one of whom fatally shot him in the head. Amid the chaos, his friend Tebello Tibs Motsoane was also tragically killed.
The culprits responsible for the shooting remain at large and have yet to face trial.
Conversations Between Zimbabwean Prophet And AKA Prior To His Passing
Several months before his untimely death, Zimbabwean seer Prophet Mellontic Orasi initiated contact with AKA to forewarn him about the impending tragedy. Regrettably, AKA dismissed the message and took to Twitter to criticize the prophet, asserting that anyone spreading fear does not represent God.
In a recent interview, Prophet Mellontik Orasi recounted his interactions with AKA well before the rapper’s demise.
“I reached out to AKA on Instagram, he WhatsApped me; he called me. I said to him, ‘My brother, there are forces that are hunting you, and they are going to kill you. Please, disassociate yourself from this and that. Give your life to Christ..’ He said I’m going to church, and I said going to church doesn’t clear us from our dark background.
“After that, he went to a podcast, and he said there’s a Zimbabwean prophet who’s prophesying about death; he’s not from God. There was a huge backlash on social media. Then it so happened that when he went to Durban…I also advised him about it, and he didn’t listen. He went on, and he perished.”
Forbes Family Connects With Mellontik Orasi
Prophet Mellontik Orasi also disclosed that following AKA’s passing, his family reached out to him.
“[His death] pained me so much because even his family reached out to me when it happened, and they acknowledged hearing about the prophecy.”
