Zuckerberg And Musk Cage Match Dream in Jeopardy
Mark Zuckerberg, the brain behind Facebook, has declared that he’s grown weary of biding his time for Elon Musk to signal the go-ahead for their showdown, prompting him to shift his attention to other pursuits.
The anticipation of a face-off resembling a clash of titans, featuring Zuckerberg and Musk in a cage match, has tantalized onlookers for a while now, and even Italy has extended an invitation to host this epic duel.
Zuckerberg Accuses Musk of Making Excuses
Yet, the prospects of this duel coming to fruition appear dim, as Zuckerberg took to Threads on a Sunday to publicly acknowledge that he’s relinquishing the endeavour to bring it to life.
With a sense of clarity, Zuckerberg revealed his conviction that Elon Musk’s intentions regarding the cage match were far from earnest, as demonstrated by the multitude of excuses Musk had presented to indefinitely postpone the confrontation.
Zuckerberg recounted how he had proposed a date, only to have Musk fail to confirm it, citing the need for surgery and even suggesting a practice session in Zuckerberg’s backyard instead of a genuine battle.
In Zuckerberg’s words, “I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on. I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead.”
Zuckerberg Still Open to Cage Match With Musk
However, Zuckerberg didn’t conclusively rule out the possibility of the cage match transpiring down the line. He left a door slightly ajar, stating that if Musk rekindles his genuine interest, he knows how to get in touch.
“If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously,” concluded the head honcho of Facebook.
