Actress Zinhle Mavasa Fights For Survival In ICU
Actress Zinhle Hlamalani Mavasa, known for her role in the television series “Giyani: Land of Blood,” has recently experienced a stroke.
ZINHLE MAVASA SUFFERS STROKE
According to a statement released by her family on Thursday, June 1st, media personality Zinhle Hlamalani Mavasa is currently in the ICU, fighting for her life. This distressing update was reported by Zimoja.
“It is with extreme sadness that we acknowledge the sickness of our beloved daughter,” the Mavasa family said.
“The actress, professionally known for playing the character of Matimba on Giyani- Land Of Blood suffered a stroke while alone in the house at midnight on Monday. The stroke affected her ability to speak, write and read.”
ALLEGED CAUSE
According to Mavasa’s family, the stroke was caused by stress a depression.
“The reason for the stroke is stress caused by the ex-partner. She suffered from depression and stress alone without sharing with anyone,” said her family.
During this challenging time, the family has requested prayers and support for Zinhle Hlamalani Mavasa, as she is the sole provider for her family. Additionally, Mavasa’s sister, Tintswalo, has made allegations that the actress endured physical abuse from the father of her child.
“During her pregnancy, she went through a lot with her partner. He used to physically abuse her and there’s proof of that,” she says.
“She gave birth to his child. Everything was fine, and I even registered the baby with his surname. After a few weeks, he claimed that the baby wasn’t his. He asked for the baby’s DNA and it came back 99.9%. Her baby is now two months old. Her health is bad because of him,” she concludes.
Mavasa is also still mourning the death of her son who passed at 17 months son in June last year.
“My baby passed away from lung disease and brain damage,” she told Drum Magazine at the time.
“He was born with lung disease, but I thought he was going to live longer. I had faith I would see him go to high school and university, but God.
In a tragic turn of events, the situation worsened for the actress when she was involved in a car accident, resulting in her vehicle being completely destroyed. This incident occurred just one day after the heartbreaking loss of her son.
The passing of her son comes two years after the unfortunate loss of her mother, adding to the immense grief that Zinhle Hlamalani Mavasa has been enduring.
