AKA Shooting: Nota Baloyi Bows To Pressure And Apologises To Millionaire
Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi, a high-profile artist manager, got himself in trouble following his “reckless” rant he said after the shooting of AKA.
AKA and his buddy Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane were shot and killed outside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on Friday night.
Baloyi said that Sandile Zungu, a millionaire and owner of AmaZulu Football Club, had a hand in the killing of the rapper AKA.
Nota Baloyi was given an ultimatum to apologize to Zungu and his friends by the end of Wednesday, February 15th. Failure to do so, Zungu made it clear that he would take him to court for defamation of character.
The letter of demand served to Baloyi reads:
“The Instagram messages were wrongful and defamatory of our clients in that they were intended by you and were understood by your Instagram and other social media users to mean that:
-
- Our clients aligned, associated themselves and/or conspired with the persons who are responsible for the killing of the late Mr Forbes.
- Our clients were involved in plotting the killing of the late Mr Forbes.
- Mr Zungu threatened the lives of the late Mr Forbes and his friends.
- Our client denies the allegations and innuendos communicated in the Instagram posts were also intended to promote or propagate against our clients.”
After receiving the letter from Sandile Zungu, Nota Baloyi was embarrassed and apologized on his Instagram page.
Lately, Nota got sued by AKA after Anele “Nellie” Tembe died. AKA’s lawyers told Nota to withdraw his statement and apologize to AKA publicly.
Nota Baloyi was told not to speak about AKA anymore, and he was also compelled to pay AKA R500 000 as a part of the damages. It is, however, unknown if Nota paid AKA the money before he died.
