African National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Fikile Mbalula is crushed after his “daughter” was killed in a hit.
The Terrifying Tragedy
The incident happened in the early hours of Monday, 25 March, 2024. The “daughter”, Keletile Mathata, was shot dead in a hail of bullets at Molewa Pub and Grill in Hebron, north of Pretoria. Unidentified assailants approached her while she was in a Volkswagen Polo with a driver and sprayed bullets at them before fleeing the scene. Keletile and the driver were killed in the tragic incident.
Gory pictures of the incident showed Keletile sitting on the car’s passenger seat lifeless with her white t-shirt drenched in so much blood. The car had bloodstains on its side, with some splashed on the tarred road around the vehicle. Law enforcement officers dragged the driver’s bloodied body out of the vehicle and laid it on the ground.

Fikile Mbalula Confirms The Tragic Killing Of His “Daughter”
The ANC secretary general took to X to express his immense heartache over the death of Keletile.
He languished:
“Am hurt today They killed my daughter am hurt.💔”
Mbalula later explained that Keletile worked in his office in the ANC:
“This is my daughter working in my office. Kelly was working in my office in the secretary general’s office. She was killed today.”
Keletile was Mbalula’s secretary, reports suggest.
