DJ Zinhle and Lerato Kganyago reunite at Pearl Thusi’s party
After a fallout earlier this year, South African media personalities DJ Zinhle and Lerato Kganyago seem to have made amends and restored their friendship. The two stars were spotted showing each other love, like the good old days, on Saturday, May 13th during actress Pearl Thusi’s birthday party celebration at the luxurious 12 on Hillel Villa and Spa in North Cliff. Pictures of the trio were shared across social media by various guests at the party, including radio and TV personality Mel Bala. The Metro FM Music Awards presenter also shared snaps of her and her girls having a good time.

In another video, DJ Zinhle can be seen fixing Lerato’s hair as they catch up with actress Amanda Du Pont. The reunion was a breath of fresh air for fans of the two media personalities, who were shocked earlier this year when Lerato addressed their failed friendship during an interview with MacG on his YouTube show, Podcast and Chill.

What happened between the two stars?
During the interview, Lerato addressed her failed friendship with DJ Zinhle, saying that the Umlilo hitmaker told a “half-truth” when she was on Nigerian star Toke’s Makinwa’s show on Honey Africa TV. In the interview, Zinhle said Lerato forgot to invite her to her wedding. The Metro FM presenter is married to Thami Ndlala.
“She does say she was invited, but what happened after that or before that is the question … At that time because my friendship with all the other girls was just a bit offish, she was the only one I invited because she is my girl, and I’ve always been loyal to her, and I’ll always be loyal to her,” Lerato told MacG.

Lerato Kganyago sets the record straight on friendship
“I distanced myself from everything else. It wasn’t even a wedding; it was just a celebration. I still didn’t have my traditional wedding or a white wedding; it was just a celebration.”
Lerato said she sent DJ Zinhle a DM with the invite to her celebration, but the mom-of-two didn’t reply.
“What I wanna say is her and I have gone through so much, and as a friend, I’ve been so loyal to her, and she respects friendships and ex-friendships that much that when she answered the question, I was like now you are opening up a can of worms, and you are telling your side of the story, and it’s like half-truth, and now people are gonna start speculating, and we are trying to be in a good space as friends because nobody is perfect,” Lerato added.
The recent reunion between DJ Zinhle and Lerato Kganyago is a clear indication that they have buried the hatchet and moved past their differences. Fans can only hope that their friendship continues to blossom in the coming years.
