Dineo Ranaka Discharges Herself From Hospital After Heated Exchange With Health Worker
According to sources, Dineo Ranaka, the host of Kaya FM, has reportedly returned home and is in the process of recovering. It is said that she chose to leave a hospital in Pretoria on Friday against medical advice.
Earlier this week, news emerged that Ranaka had been admitted to a mental health care facility in Pretoria after she openly shared that she was experiencing illness.
Insiders inform Sunday World that Ranaka’s departure from the hospital occurred merely three days after her admission. This decision was reportedly prompted by a tense encounter with a healthcare professional at the facility.
An anonymous source from the hospital revealed that Ranaka had engaged in a heated altercation with a healthcare worker. The incident took place when the radio host approached the worker, who happened to be on the phone at the time. Ranaka mistakenly believed that the worker was recording videos of her, which led to the confrontation. The source preferred to remain unnamed while sharing this information.
The mole said: “Someone was on the phone so Dineo thought that person was taking a picture and she confronted him.
“Then the boy said to Dineo shut up and then they had a confrontation which ended up in him saying she must not take out her frustrations on him.”
Another source further disclosed that despite being advised against it, Ranaka persisted in discharging herself from the institution.
Despite attempts to reach out to Dineo Ranaka, her phone remained unanswered on Saturday, and she did not respond to a text message that was sent to her.
Throughout the week, Ranaka received an outpouring of support from her fans after reports emerged that she had sought professional help and was admitted to the hospital.
Many fans commended her for taking a courageous step towards addressing her mental health concerns.
In an Instagram post, the radio and television host candidly shared her battle with depression, shedding light on her mental health struggles.
