DJ Fresh’s Drivetime Show Gets A New Presenter, Thando Thabethe
Actress, radio presenter and businesswoman Thando Thabethe is set to replace DJ Fresh’s slot on 947 FM’s Drive time show, Phil Mphela reports.
This comes after the station kicked out the controversial DJ together with his buddie Euphonik over rape allegations they faced at that time.
The two are accused by one, Ms Madikizela, of a sexual assault incident that took place a few years ago.
The matter was however thought out of court by prosecutors who found no evidence of the crime.
However, Ms Madikizela has been insisting on the claims.
Women rally groups have been at loggerheads with the controversial duo and many of their supporters including a newspaper, Sunday World over the matter.
Some of the vocal women in this fight include Boity and Thando Thabethe.
And by coincidence, Thando Thabethe will be taking over DJ Fresh’s spot on the radio station.
This, while Euphonik’s weekend show hasn’t found a replacement yet.
Thando Thabethe has been off from radio for a while now and this marks her official return.
She left 5FM last March after some irregularities with the station bosses over the show renewal and her salary that she wished to be increased.
The former Housekeepers actress recently joined the cast of the upcoming 8-part investigative crime drama called Reyka.
The series co-produced between South Africa and the UK will be aired on M-Net this July.
