DJ Zinhle Finally Finds Her Passport After Missing Out On New York Adventure With Kairo

South African DJ and businesswoman DJ Zinhle is feeling relieved after finding her passport which she lost in Dubai and missing her flight.

DJ Zinhle, born Ntombezinhle Jiyane, had planned a birthday trip for Kairo, who turns eight on 8 July, to celebrate in the Big Apple.

Kairo is the daughter of DJ Zinhle and slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA. AKA was shot dead outside of Wish restaurant on Florida Road, Durban on 10 February, along with his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

How DJ Zinhle Lost Her Passport

DJ Zinhle, Kairo and AKA’s mother Lynn Forbes were supposed to fly from Johannesburg to Dubai and then catch a connecting flight to New York. However, while at Dubai International Airport, she realised that she had lost her passport and US visa, and had to fly back to Johannesburg.

She revealed the unfortunate incident on an Instagram Live video on Monday 26 June, saying that she was okay with not going to New York and that she was happy to return home to be with her other daughter Asante Mohosana and “husband” Murdah Bongz.

She also said that the luggage was in her name, so Kairo and Glammy had to fly without their bags.

Despite leaving DJ Zinhle behind, Lynn Forbes and Kairo are having the time of their lives in New York. Recently, they shared pictures of themselves having fun in at the New York Times Square.

They then went out for shopping, since they had no clothes as DJ Zinhle had gone back to South Africa with their luggage.

They also took time to gaze through the New York skyline from the One World Observatory, the hightest point in the cosmopolitan city.
