Emtee Strikes Back At Nicole’s Drug Claims Amid Messy Divorce
The ongoing legal dispute between rapper Emtee, whose real name is Mthembeni Ndevu, and his estranged wife, Nicole Kendall Chinsamy, has escalated into a more contentious situation.
NICOLE CHINSAMY ACCUSES HER ESTRANGED HUSBAND OF BEING A DRUGGIE
According to Sunday World, in a police statement submitted at the Midrand Police Station in Johannesburg, Nicole Kendall Chinsamy, the mother of three, accused rapper Emtee of being a drug addict.
These allegations emerged during her initial filing of a case against the Manando rapper, where she accused him of assault with the intention to cause serious bodily harm (GBH).
However, it’s important to note that she later withdrew the case.
“The complainant alleges that her husband is assaulting her and invading her privacy on social media.
“The husband is known as Mthembeni Ndevu, with a contact number (number withheld). The complainant alleges that he is also a drug user. Case docket opened for further police investigations.”
However, Nicole did not name the type of drugs, and the allegations were not tested in court, the publication reports.
EMTEE RUBBISHES DRUG CLAIMS ONCE AGAIN
Emtee has faced previous accusations of drug use, and this is not the first time such claims have been made against him.
In March this year, the acclaimed musician took to social media to vehemently deny these rumors and express his frustration with the ongoing speculation.
“All this drug talk is pissin’ me off. I even quit lean. I been sober for a minute, so don’t come to me with that drug talk sh**. I’m done with that life! Stop tryna push agendas here, misunu,” he wrote in a tweet.
He again denied them when Sunday World contacted him.
“Firstly, I don’t know what she is talking about because I’m not on drugs,” he said.
Following Emtee’s arrest for alleged assault against Nicole, the former couple decided to end their relationship in March.
Emtee has consistently denied the accusations of assault made against him.
However, in April, just before the arrival of their third child, Nicole chose to extend an olive branch and withdrew the charges she had previously filed.
It was during this same month that the hip-hop artist initiated the divorce process.
