Fans Shocked To Find Out Sho Madjozi Is Way Older Than Makhadzi

Shomadjozi and Makhadzi have so much in common that they could’ve passed off as sisters in another life. The musicians have a lot of energy in their performances, they are both from Limpopo province, and they have blessed their fans with killer hit and after hit.

Makhadzi and Sho are passionate about their style in music, their cultures, and languages; Sho raps in Xitsonga, while Makhadzi sings in Tshivenda.

The musicians both recently appeared in SABC2’s long-running soapie Muvhango which they love watching when they’re not busy. 

However, fans were recently shocked to discover that Sho is way older than Makhadzi who appears to be older than Sho.

Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, known to many as Makhadzi, was born on the 30th of June 1996 while Maya Christinah Xichavo Wegerif, who is known as Sho Madjozi was born on the 9th of May 1992. 

Sho is a writer turned poet who is making waves not only in her country but also in the international entertainment industry. She also acted on Mzansi Magic’s canned show; Isithembiso where she played the role of Tsakane Mboweni; Mboweni was a radical student activist in the youth telenovela.

Sho has also gained recognition with global brands such as Nike and Nivea and so many more who have recognized her efforts in the entertainment industry. 

Makhadzi made her debut in the industry during the 2010 world cup when she joined Makirikiri Musical Group as a dancer and later became interested in singing.

After recording herself singing, the manager of the studio came across the recording and loved her voice. She released her first album two years after the 2010 world cup and the rest is history. She has released more than five other albums!

Unlike Sho, Makhadzi hasn’t had a great relationship with her management as she’s ofter lambasted her manager; Rita Dee for mishandling her finances.

According to Makhadzi, she had made more than R1 million from the shows and gigs that she had performed in during the festive season. Unfortunately, her manager had not made the payment to her and was ignoring her calls. 

She tweeted:

“I wanted to buy something today, I waited, I promised the seller that I will pay in hours’ time because I knew my manager used to switch off her phone but she will soon get back to me.”

In another post, Makhadzi stated: “And after she get paid she [would] get drunk and switch off her phone, no update of what’s going on. I will call like I am crazy, imagine crying, hunting someone to give you your money. I must explain myself first… “
