South African slay queen and actress Tebogo Thobejane is living in fear after surviving an assassination attempt. She narrowly escaped a life-threatening situation when assailants shot at her multiple times.

In October, the former Muvhango actress and a friend were targeted while being driven home from Saints Champagne Lounge in Sandton, Johannesburg, at night
Three men in a vehicle resembling a florist’s van, accompanied by a white Audi, pulled up beside them and opened fire. Tebogo sustained a graze on her back, while her friend was severely injured. Tebogo, fearing for her life, has left South Africa.
Meanwhile, her friend she was travelling with is still battling for her life in hospital.
Cyberbullying and Threats: Actress Opens Up after Assassination Attempt
Following the harrowing experience, Tebogo expressed her insecurity and stated that she no longer feels safe in South Africa.
Tebogo Thobejane disclosed to Sunday World that she received death threats in January and has been a victim of harassment and cyberbullying.
“I’ve been harassed, cyberbullied and I almost died three weeks ago because someone shot at my car. I am not safe in my own country. I did get death threats in January and when I came back after July they waited until October to do this to me,” she said.
Tebogo suspects the person behind the cyberbullying is connected to the recent attack, indicating a possible motive to harm her.
“It is very suspicious that this person cyberbullied me and now that there is a court case, people want to kill me. She has been dodging this thing for months now and she tried to buy the docket.”
Tebogo is set to go to court this week with someone who has been cyberbullying her.
