Goodbye Mbali Kubeka| Actress Nolwazi Ngubeni Exits Scandal!
Actress Nolwazi Shange Ngubeni has bid farewell to her role as Mbali Kubeka on etv soapie Scandal!.
The character’s storyline in recent months has shown her downfall, with fans watching as she becomes a wanted criminal for allegedly framing her sister Winnie and attempting to murder her former spouse Jojo, who was trying to turn her in to the authorities.
Scandal!, a multi-award-winning show, has been a popular staple of television viewing for many years.
Despite the desire of Nolwazi Ngubeni’s fans to see her continue her excellent performance as Mbali Kubeka on Scandal!, the actress has declared that her tenure on the show has ended. Her final appearance on the program was on Wednesday 15 February.
In preparation for the next stage of her career, Nolwazi Ngubeni expressed her gratitude for the enjoyable moments she had while working on Scandal! and conveyed her appreciation to the soapie’s audience for their unwavering support.
“Being on Scandal! has been one of the greatest joys of my career. I truly appreciate the immense support the producers, cast and crew have shown me. I walk away with fond memories as I prepare to take on the next phase of my journey. Thank you to all the viewers for watching and consistently supporting my work. Onwards and upwards,” she said.
Nolwazi Ngubeni is also a casting director and producer. She will be working as a casting director in the upcoming season of Mzansi Magic’s telenovela Umkhokha, while also performing in another production whose name is yet to be disclosed.
In her final episode on Scandal!, Nolwazi Ngubeni’s character, Mbali Kubeka, tries to murder her own mother but ends up being killed in self-defense by her mother.
