Here Is Why Costa Titch’s Final Send-Off Has Been Postponed
The late rapper Costa Titch’s family has announced that the scheduled memorial for the late Big Flexa artist, set to take place on March 16th, has been postponed for the time being.
Following Costa Titch’s tragic passing after collapsing twice and falling off the stage at the Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg over the weekend, the Tsobanoglous family released a statement through actress Ntando Duma’s Instagram stories on Wednesday.
They revealed that the planned memorial service has been postponed to a later date, allowing the Titch Gang and other fans to attend and bid their final farewells.
“We regret to inform you that Costa Titch’s Memorial will be postponed. This is due to some of the Titch Gang Fans national and worldwide who would have loved to be part of this who are unfortunately unable to make it, due to the short notice.
As we all know Costa was all about inclusivity and unity, he would have loved to have everyone who he loved, and who supported him to all be there,” part of the postponement statement read.
Additionally, the Tsobanoglous family expressed their regret for any inconvenience caused by the postponement and conveyed their appreciation for the overwhelming support they have received during this trying time.
They also assured the public that new dates and venue details for the memorial will be provided shortly.
Meanwhile, the police have launched an inquiry to establish the cause of Costa Titch’s untimely passing.
In a statement released on SABC News, law enforcement officials confirmed that a postmortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death for the late rapper
“We can confirm that the police in SAPS Booysen have registered a case of inquest following the death of 28-year-old Mr. Costa Tsobanoglou on 11 March 2023. It is reported that Tsobanoglou collapsed while he was performing at the Ultra South Africa concert at Nasrec,” read a statement according to SABC News.
