Isibaya Final Day Of Airing Revealed
There are 38 more episodes of Isibaya fans will enjoy from today on Mzansi Magic till the last day that was revealed today.
The 2nd of April 2021 – a Good Friday, has been revealed to be the D-Day (literally) for the show’s final episode.
Isibaya wrapped up shooting last week.
Many still can’t believe it is really over for once Mzansi Magic’s number one most watched telenovela.
Especially after last week, it was revealed that Isibaya bagged a number 3 spot on the most-watched shows on DSTV catch-up and ranked number 5 on the top 10 most-watched shows on DSTV with over 2 million viewers as of January 2021.
Such good news came after it had already been made final that Isibaya was not being renewed for another season anymore because it had been slacking to get convincing numbers for the TV station for months.
Mzansi Magic exed the show and replaced it with an upcoming show, Diepsloot, that is still under production.
The new show is set on Jo’burg’s crime-infested town of Diepsloot and led by former Uzalo’s lead actor, Dawn Thandeka King.
From the look of things, Diepsloot will start airing on Monday 5th of April, taking up the 8 pm timeslot that has always been for Isibaya.
While many of Isibaya cast are already jobless and are in fear of being in such state for a long time due to the Covid-19 induced lockdown, a handful of them have since found themselves roles in upcoming television series.
Many of them joined The Estate – the likes of Clementine Mosimane, Aubrey Poo, and Linda Sebezo.
