Penny Ntuli Details  the Car Accident

Ntuli, who commenced her tenure at the Soweto-based radio station in April, explained that she decided to bring her vehicle to Johannesburg as she acclimated to the “City of Gold.” The incident unfolded when a truck shed its load of timber, colliding with her car and causing damage to the front bumper. Sharing her experience on Facebook, Ntuli expressed, “Today I decided to bring my car to Johannesburg as I am adapting to the environment, and suddenly, on the freeway, timber from a truck landed directly on my car.”

The esteemed actress and radio personality, boasting a following of over 1.7 million, recounted how she and her passengers escaped unscathed. She recounted manoeuvring her vehicle off the road and onto the grass, avoiding a potentially catastrophic collision with oncoming traffic. Reflecting on the event, she remarked, “Regardless of my actions, the car was destined for damage. Nonetheless, no harm came to anyone… I am simply grateful for our safety.”

Allegations and Denials

Prior to this incident, Penny Ntuli had attracted attention in March when she disclosed her decision not to renew her contract with Gagasi FM. She cited dissatisfaction with their offer of an R2,800 salary, the same amount she had been receiving for two years at the Durban-based station.

Subsequently, Ntuli accepted a position at Jozi FM, with her new employer arranging her relocation to Johannesburg. However, shortly after assuming her role as the mid-morning show host from 9 am to 12 pm, anonymous colleagues accused the station manager of displaying favouritism towards her. The station, however, swiftly refuted these claims.
