In a major breakthrough, the Kwazulu-Natal police have identified the suspects responsible for the tragic shooting and killing of popular rapper AKA, whose real name is Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.
AKA and Tibz were shot dead in Florida Road, Durban, on Friday night, 10 February.
A CCTV footage captured the chilling moment when two shooters approached AKA’s group as they were leaving Wish restaurant. This footage has been instrumental in the identification of the suspects.

KwaZulu Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has confirmed to eNCA that they have identified AKA and Tibz muder suspects.
“Police in Kwazulu-Natal say they have identified the suspects who shot and killed rapper AKA and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.”
Suspects Yet to be Arrested
While the suspects have been identified, they are yet to be apprehended as the police continue to gather evidence and strengthen their case. Police Commissioner Mkhwanazi said they are building a solid case before they make arrests on this matter.
