Sandile “Mteshe” Tembe was killed by a gunshot near where he lived in KwaZulu-Natal.

He was involved in cross-border crime fighting to stop the smuggling of stolen and hijacked vehicles into Mozambique.

Sandile Tembe was shot dead on his way to meet with a friend, reported SABC News.

He was shot 33 times.

The deceased was a nephew of the Tembe Clan Chief, Inkosi Mabhudu Tembe.

The Kwazulu-Natal premier has sent a sympathy message to the Tembe Royal family.

“KwaZulu-Natal Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube has, on behalf of the Provincial Government, expressed heartfelt condolences to the Tembe Royal family following the murder of Sandile Tembe, a nephew of the Tembe Clan Chief, Inkosi Mabhudu Tembe.”

Twitter shook when they noticed that the deceased had the same surname as the Tembe family.

Since Sandile bears the same surname as AKA’s late girlfriend, netizens are already connecting the latter’s assassination to the rapper’s murder.

Social media users think Sandile might be connected to Anele Tembe’s family.

AKA was shot and killed on February 10th in Durban. The Tembe family is suspected of playing a role in his murder that happened in Anele Tembe’s hometown.

Tweeps think that the death of Sandile Tembe is related to the murder of AKA and Tembe’s family will try to get revenge for his death.
