South African music sensation King Monada finds himself embroiled in a booking fee dispute after he pulled a no-show.
The organizers of the Phalaborwa Spring Carnival are seeking legal recourse from King Monada after he failed to repay R25,000.

King Monada Booking Fee Drama
According to Sunday World, King Monada abruptly cancelled his performance at the festival just one hour before his scheduled appearance. The Ex Yaka claimed non-payment of his booking fee as the reason not to perform.
However, the event organizers responded with proof of payment receipts, confirming that he had been duly compensated.
King Monada reportedly requested additional funds after initially receiving R20,000 for a song. The show organizers initially assumed this payment covered the performance booking. The payment was originally agreed upon at R50,000 for the night. Out of the blues. King Monada rejected the prior agreement and demanded his full booking fee.

King Monada Pulls A No- Show
Thabiso Mkhombo, the event organizer representing Lefa Promotions, has revealed that King Monada failed to make any attempt to reimburse the outstanding amount.
Mkhombo expressed his frustration, stating that King Monada not only failed to fulfil his performance commitment but also neglected to pay back the owed sum.
“He has not paid us back and has not said anything since we last spoke. He did not show up at the event,” Mkhombo lamented.
The Chikwana hitmaker was initially paid a total of R40,000 but only repaid half of the booking fee, which amounted to R20,000.
The organizers have opted to give King Monada a final week to settle his debt before considering legal action.
