Sfiso Ncwane’s mother is lamenting and asking for reconciliation with her daughter-in-law after she was snubbed from the unveiling of her son’s tombstone.
A Cry from a Mother’s Heart
In an emotional conversation with Zimoja, Sifiso’s mother disclosed the family’s intentions to organize a traditional Ukukhuphula ceremony in honour of her departed son. She expressed profound sorrow upon discovering that Ayanda had omitted Sifiso’s family from the tombstone unveiling event. Despite Ayanda’s recent commitments in Nigeria for church-related endeavours, she failed to extend invitations to Sfiso’s other offspring and close associates.

Sifiso’s mother earnestly desires her grandchildren’s presence at the forthcoming ceremony, notwithstanding Ayanda’s persistent dismissal of her appeals to meet them. “I do not know what I might have done to upset her, but I want her to recognize that I hold affection for her as the mother of my grandchildren,” she lamented, her heart heavy with anguish. She implored Ayanda to facilitate her access to the grandchildren, acknowledging that her time on this earth is finite.

A Plea for Reconciliation
With humility, Sifiso’s mother beseeched her daughter-in-law for forgiveness, irrespective of any past grievances. “I am advancing in age, my child. Regrettably, I remain oblivious to any transgressions I may have committed. Nonetheless, time is a fleeting gift, and I yearn to cherish moments with my grandchildren beyond fleeting glimpses on social media or television,” she articulated, her voice trembling with emotion.
