In a tragic development, 13 people have died in an accident involving a minibus taxi and a truck outside Polokwane in Limpopo.

According to Newzroom Afrika, the horror incident occurred on Tuesday morning along Dendron Road.

The minibus taxi was reportedly en route to Bochum, transporting teachers to their workplace, when it collided with a truck.

Second Major Limpopo Accident in 2 Months Takes Devastating Toll

Meanwhile, this comes 2 months after 45 ZCC church congregants perished in a road accident in Limpopo.

The horrific bus accident occurred on the Mamatlakala Bridge along the R518 outside Mokopane in Limpopo on Thursday, 28 March 2024.

The Batswana ZCC church congregants were en route to the annual Easter pilgrimage to the St Engenas ZCC headquarters in Moria outside Polokwane when the bus driver lost control, leading to a fatal plunge off the bridge.

Only one person miraculously survived the catastrophic accident – an 8-year-old girl named Lauryn Siako.
