MaMkhize to Share Assets 50/50 With Former Husband Sbu Mpisane as Court Finalises Divorce
The long and drawn-out divorce between multi-millionaire reality TV star Shauwn Mkhize and businessman-turned-politician Sbu Mpisane has finally come to an end. The Durban High Court finalised their split last week, with the couple agreeing to share half of the assets acquired during their 16-year marriage.
Contrary to rumours that Mpisane was left empty-handed, he confirmed to Sunday World that the settlement adheres to the law and that he is managing well.
“I have survived from the inception of the divorce, and I still do. The final divorce settlement was in line with the constitution and laws of the country. However, our divorce papers were clear that our marriage was irreparable, based on the reasons known to her since she was the author of the divorce,” explained Mpisane.

High Court Orders MaMkhize to Share Assets 50/50 With Former Husband
The Durban High Court ordered the couple to appoint an independent liquidator to divide their assets equally.
The ruling stated:
“It is ordered that the bonds of marriage subsisting between the plaintiff and defendant be and are hereby dissolved. The parties agree to appoint a mutually acceptable independent liquidator who is a qualified practicing authority and advocate who has been in practice for at least 10 years. He will identify, collect, and distribute any assets of the joint estate equally between the parties.”
While their assets will be shared, the court ruled that each party will be responsible for their own debts moving forward.

Mpisane, a former eThekwini metro police officer, left his position to join Mkhize in building their empire. Together, they ran the highly lucrative Zikhulise cleaning, maintenance, and transport business, which raked in millions through government tenders across multiple municipalities and departments.
Their relationship, once seen as a formidable partnership in business and politics, ultimately unravelled, leading to one of South Africa’s most high-profile divorce cases.
