Mihlali Ndamase has hit back at claims that she is dating businessman Leeroy Sidambe for his wealth.
In a refreshingly candid conversation on Showmax’s ‘Unfollowed’ Mihlali revealed that her relationship with Leeroy is built on love and happiness. She firmly asserted that she has her own financial independence.
Mihlali Ndamase Refutes Claims of Dating Leeroy for His Wealth
Mihlali set the record straight on the show, sharing that it was Leeroy who initiated their relationship.
“I happened to click with him, we had chemistry, and we fell in love, and then that happened.”
When asked by the show’s host Thembekile Mrototo whether she dated Leeroy for his money, Mihlali casually shot down the claims saying:
“I have my own money. Are you mad,” said Mihlali.
She emphasized that love, not money, was the foundation of their relationship, despite the swirling rumours

In the same vein, Leeroy Sidambe recently set the record straight on the dynamics of their relationship. The controversial businessman revealed that people misinterpreted their love. Leeroy stated that it was Mihlali who was spoiling him not the other way around.

Throughout 2022, Mihlali’s love life became a hot topic of discussion in the media and on social platforms.
However, she revealed on the show that such scrutiny was inevitable when people sought to find fault. Mihlali emphasised that others’ opinions didn’t shape her reality.
“The only thing I will say about that is that when people have nothing to come at you about then they are going to find something to constantly dig at you, they are going to try to find something that may be a weakness that they’ll constantly dig at you, and honestly people’s opinions have nothing to do with my reality.”
Mihlali emphasized that she is very much in love with Leeroy even though their relationship has been marred by a lot of controversy and scandals
“I’m in a happy relationship, and I’m very much in love, and that’s all people should know.”
