Sportscaster and media personality Minnie Dlamini has raised ire on social media after giving a nonchalant message about Valentine’s Day.
Minnie Dlamini has been living a loveless life following her divorce from her American husband, Quinton Jones. The couple also have a son who is turning five this year.
No one, not even Minnie herself, envisioned the marriage crumbling. Her wedding was a grand affair with rights sold to Showmax through a reality television show.
Minnie and Quinton went through a messy divorce that saw her fork out a staggering R 500,000 as settlement and spousal support.
During the tumultuous period, Quinton revealed that Minnie cheated on him. Now, the mother of one is focused on raising her son and making as much money as she can to live softly.
Minnie Dlamini Speaks On Valentine’s Day
Earlier this morning, Minnie, who is single, took to her social media to share about her Valentine’s Day. Her attitude as she shot the video exuded confidence and focus, not easily swayed by small things like Valentine’s Day.
She said:
“Someone asked me what I’m doing for Valentine’s Day. I’m securing my bag. I’m at a shoot with my first love of my life, which is my job. Don’t be mad.”

Social media users spit sour words at Minnie Dlamini and reminded her that she is single anyway. Some, however, threw their support behind her.
Sphe:
“Quinton is waiting for his spousal support month end. There’s no other way but to secure that bag, ma’am 🤣”
Okuhle:
“Anything to make herself feel better. If she had a man, she wasn’t going to say this. It’s fine. She can say that she’s single on Valentine’s Day.”
Nick:
“Secure that bag, sis; Quinton’s spousal support won’t pay itself.”
Chris Excel:
“She is speaking like she has a choice…She Must secure the bag. Quinton wants his spousal support month end 😭
Thabelo:
“That’s the best thing to do.”
