Family Confirms Her Death in a Statement
Lungy Gwala’s family has confirmed her death in a statement shared on her Instagram account
“It is with extreme sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our beloved artist, daughter, and sister. We also confirm her sad passing that took place today on the evening of 25 June 2024,” the statement read.
At the time of reporting, details about her death and the cause have not yet been revealed.
Lungy Gwala’s Impact on the Entertainment Industry and Social Media
Lungy had established herself in the entertainment industry over the years. She ran a popular YouTube channel, Lungy Gwala, where she showcased her creativity through various dance routines.
She had the opportunity to dance for well-known artists like DJ Tira, Jobe London, Tipcee, and TDK Macassette, and had also begun creating her own music. Tragically, her promising career was cut short by her untimely death. Lungy was also recognized for her work as a dancer with former Idols star Nosipho Thwala.
