Natasha Joubert Pays Tribute To Zozibini Tunzi

Natasha Joubert is a South African model and model pageant who was delegated as the second runner-up in Miss South Africa 2020. She was subsequently assigned as Miss Universe South Africa 2020 and addressed South Africa at the Miss Universe 2020 competition.

Not at all like the last three Mzansi contestants to contend in Miss Universe — Tebow, Tunzi, and Tamaryn Green — Joubert never wore the Miss SA crown.

She did, nonetheless, place in the Top 3 of the 2020 Miss SA event, which was won by Shudufhadzo Musida. Thato Mosehle was named first next in line, and Joubert second next in line.

After not making it to the top 21 Miss Universe contestants, the beauty queen took Instagram to write an ode to former South African winner of Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi. In an emotional post, she wrote,

” Queen Zozi. The impact you have made in these last 17 months will have a lasting impact for years to come.

“I want them to see their faces reflected in mine” – When you uttered these words little must you have known how many women, men, young girls and boys would feel them so deeply. To see someone from a small village in the Eastern Cape of South Africa taking up space on the grandest stage in the Universe, and not only that but owning that space and demanding to be seen and heard. You gave them hope, you gave me hope. You gave us Hope.

Im proud to carry the same name across my chest tonight, the name of our country which I know we both love so deeply. I promise to continue the legacy you along with so many others have started.
Congratulations on completing your reign with just as much promise and commitment to this platform as you started it. I will forever and always look up to you! “
