Piet Rampedi Risks Going To Jail Over Lying About #Tembisa10 Babies

Piet Rampedi, an Independent Group journalist who broke the story about ‘Tembisa 10’ babies risks facing jail for lying over the birth of the alleged world record decuplets.

The journalist claimed that a South African woman identified as Ms Gosiame Thamara Sithole had given birth to decuplets on the 7th of June 2021.

This was reported as a world record breaking news where the alleged mother was thought to have become the Genious Book Of Records holder for having the first decuplets babies in the world – taking over the record from Halima Cissé from Mali gave birth to 9 children in Morocco.

The Pretoria News had reported that Ms Sithole’s husband Teboho Tsotetsi confirmed the birth of the seven boys and three girls.

But the search of the kids was fruitless after the Gauteng government decided to find the kids and confirm the news to the world.

It became apparent that Mr Piet’s breaking story was nothing but far-fetched lies.

In his defence, Mr Piet blamed the government’s spokesperson for not looking hard enough to find the babies.

But from the Gauteng Government’s recent statement, Ms Sithole was found to have been admitted in the said hospital where she allegedly gave birth.

However, medical examinations found that she had not been pregnant in the last couple of years.

This means the #Tembisa10 babies were a hoax.

Mr Piet has been threatened with legal action for lying about the story.
