Controversial Limpopo rapper Shebeshxt’s family postpones his daughter’s funeral and waits for the rapper to recover enough for him to be discharged.
The family of renowned rapper Shebeshxt, whose real name is Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, is anxiously awaiting his recovery. Shebeshxt is currently hospitalized following a recent car accident that claimed the life of his daughter, Onthatile Chuene, in Limpopo last weekend.
Reasons why Shebeshxt’s daughter’s funeral was postponed
According to a source close to the family, they had initially planned to hold the funeral for Onthatile last Friday. The Limpopo Arts Movement had even offered their assistance in organizing the ceremony. However, due to the current state of Shebeshxt’s health, the family decided to postpone the funeral to the upcoming weekend.
“They are hopeful that Shebeshxt would have recovered well enough to attend his daughter’s funeral,” the source shared.

Additionally, it has been disclosed that the artist is under investigation for culpable homicide related to the tragic incident. The police are actively looking into the matter, as the media has claimed the rapper was speeding on the road. Their car is said to have overturned while Shebeshxt was on his way to drop off his daughter and girlfriend in Lebowakgomo. The rapper was booked to attend the ANC Siyabonga rally after he had dropped off his family.

Shebeshxt’s Current health
The rapper sustained multiple injuries in the car accident and has been in hospital ever since. Sources have shared that the rapper has had surgeries to help him recover. The family’s spokesperson shared that Shebeshxt had multiple surgeries the week following his accident.
The rapper is currently able to speak, but he has not yet been discharged from the hospital.
