Anguished Mother Describes Extent of Shebeshxt’s Injuries as Rapper Recovers from Devastating Accident
South African rapper Shebeshxt is fighting for his recovery after sustaining severe injuries in a car accident that also claimed the life of his 9-year-old daughter, Nthati.
Shebeshxt was involved in a tragic accident on Saturday night. His mother, Mpho Chauke, recently provided an update on the state of the injuries he sustained in the horror accident.
The Tragic Accident That Claimed His Daughter’s Life
According to reports, Shebeshxt, whose real name is Lehlohonolo Chauke, was traveling with his girlfriend, Hope, and their young daughter when their Volkswagen Polo collided with a truck along the R37 road near Smelters Mine outside Polokwane. The tragic accident occurred as the family was headed to a political rally celebration concert in Lebowakgomo.
Tragically, Nthati did not survive the devastating crash. However, Shebeshxt and Hope were both seriously injured in the incident.
Shebeshxt’s Mother Reveals Extent of Son’s Injuries After Devastating Crash
In an interview with the Daily Sun, Shebeshxt’s mother, Mpho Chauke, provided details on the extent of her son’s injuries. She revealed that Shebeshxt suffered a broken leg, an abdominal fracture, and head injuries.
Furthermore, Mpho Chauke revealed that Shebeshxt has internal bleeding and that his lungs have also been affected. His collarbone is also reportedly sticking out.
“He’s recovering, but he is in pain because of the foot and the abdominal bleeding. I think the operation is taking so long because they want to see what is happening,” she said.
At the time of reporting Shebeshxt is currently receiving treatment and undergoing tests at the hospital.

Contrary to reports circulating alleging that Shebeshxt was going to a gig with his daughter, Mpho revealed that her son was travelling from Polokwane to Lebwakgomo to drop off Onthatile and the mother of his child at her home, then head to perform at an ANC rally.
Mpho Chauke expressed her heartbreak over the loss of her granddaughter, Nthati. She stated that her son is aware that his daughter passed away in the accident.
“When I heard him talking only about his girlfriend, I thought maybe he was not aware until yesterday when he mentioned to his friends that he was aware that his daughter is no more,” she said, her voice heavy with emotion.
Family Expresses Gratitude for Outpouring of Support Amid Shebeshxt’s Recovery
Despite the unimaginable tragedy, Mpho conveyed her gratitude for the outpouring of love and support shown to her son during this difficult time.
“We are grateful for the love and support shown to Shebeshxt,” she said.
