A shocking video showing South African musician Babes Wodumo and her crew attacking a designer has emerged on social media.

Babes Wodumo, who has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons, reportedly teamed up with her dancers to assault Durban-based fashion designer Philly Mhlongo of Sk’Dee Designs.

Unpaid Debts and Violence: Babes Wodumo Accused of Assaulting Fashion Designer

The incident unfolded as a result of an alleged failure by Babes Wodumo and her dancers, Smiso Zulu and Sanele Smallz, to fulfil their financial obligations to the designer. Philly Mhlongo accused them of not paying for garments borrowed for a performance at the IFP manifesto launch despite having left a deposit. Furthermore, the borrowed items were not returned as agreed upon.

Caught on Camera: Video Footage Emerges of Babes Wodumo’s Violent Altercation

The emergence of a video, shared by MDN News on X (formerly Twitter), captured Babes Wodumo and her crew involved in a violent physical altercation with Philly Mhlongo in a corridor.

The footage shows the assault taking place while heated exchanges were exchanged between the parties involved. The intervention of individuals present in the building ultimately put an end to the fight.
