Shocking Vandalism At Vusi Ma R5’s Grave Leaves Family Shaken And Scared
The late Vusi Ma R5’s family has issued a statement following the circulation of images depicting the desecration of the musician’s grave on the internet.
According to the family, they are now living in fear and feel that their safety has been compromised in the wake of the destruction of Vusi Ma R5’s grave.
According to DJ Cooper, Vusi Ma R5’s brother, he and his family were taken aback when they came across images online showing that unknown people had defaced Vusi’s tombstone.
He said he discovered the vandalized cemetery on Monday afternoon, around 1 pm.
He expressed confusion as to why anyone would desecrate Vusi Ma R5’s grave and also stated his suspicion that some form of ritual activity had taken place at the site.
“I found a lot of things there and I don’t know what was going on. I don’t know if some rituals were done there or what…I am disappointed by what happened. I don’t have answers and I am still asking myself a lot of questions,” said DJ Cooper.
DJ Cooper stated that the family is still trying to come to terms with the loss of their loved one.
“They have taken my brother and it’s not easy to accept. We have to move on with life, but how will we live if they do something like this. If these people can do something like this, what will happen next? We are fearing for their lives.”
Itumeleng Mosoeu, who was also known by his stage name Vusi Ma R5, was tragically killed following a shooting incident on January 30th. He was laid to rest at the ODI cemetery in Mabopane, Tshwane on February 5th.
“He received a call and minutes later he left the venue. He was shot multiple times outside the club and was declared dead at the scene,” said one source under the condition of anonymity.
